Thought I'd make some brushes in PS and play with them. Play play play.....something that needs to be done more. If people played, the world would be a better place. Yep.
This turned out ok for an experiment. I cut off the drawing to make it more horizontal, but the sword looks....odd....where it's placed..ahem....maybe it's just me *cleans out mine brainmeats* >_>
Sketched in class w/ballpoint pen (GAWD, I love it X) ), colored in PS w/mouse (GAWD, I loathe it)

Tablets are expensive, but mice give you carpal tunnel syndrome. Ow.....*wrist falls off* N don't ask me about the strings....no idea...they're strings of adamantium....o.o;;
For some reason I can't view it in full view, but from what I can see it looks really good. Its easily distinguished as cloud (who couldn't with that massive sword). My only crits are that you could have made the hilt of the sword longer. Besides that, its a very strong piece.
Me thinks DA is acting screwy again.....dunno. N yea, you're right, the hilt should be longer. I drew this in class so I had no reference, thus the revamp in costume too. Thanks for pointing that out ^_~

I can't see how pretentiousness fits with Clouds character, so I believe the title is a bit awkward (to my understanding of course). Considering the artwork in itself, it is beautiful. The coloring is just praiseworthy, and even the background fits perfectly with the current atmosphere presented by the character.
Concerning the hilt, yeah, it seems quite short. Though this is coming from a non-artist, I believe a decent reference would be to view in your mind Cloud in action, gripping the hilt, holding the sword in readied stance, and racing towards his foes.
If you think Clouds sword is huge, you should see the sword held by Higan the main character in the RPG Far East of Eden Zero. I cannot explain in words at this time of how titanic it is.
